Stephen ELKINS Obituary

WILLIAMSBURG - Stephen B. Elkins Jr. passed away on Nov. 16, 2010.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen B. Elkins and Marjorie E. Elkins of Hampton, Va.
Steve is survived and deeply missed by his family, Elaine A. Elkins, of Williamsburg; his four children, Bennett J. Elkins of Newport News, Warren D. Elkins, Keith S. Elkins, and Leah J. Elkins, all of Williamsburg. He is also survived by two sisters, Lynda F. Minnick, Cheryl L. Elkins, both of Hampton; and one brother, Paul W. Elkins, Williamsburg, and 10 nieces and nephews.
Steve was a graduate of Bethel High School and also graduated from a local electrical apprenticeship program later acquiring his class A contractor's license. He was employed by Patriot Builders Inc. in Williamsburg as a home designer and construction supervisor. Steve will always be remembered for his quick wit and his deep sense of commitment to his family.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today, Friday, Nov. 19, 2010, at Bucktrout of Williamsburg Funeral Home.
The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Lupus Foundation of Virginia at www.lupusofva.org/lupus_foundation/.
