Steven M. ZAVODNICK

COLUMBIA, MD. - Steven Michael Zavodnick, 51, passed away at his home in Columbia, Md., on Feb. 24, 2010, after a 2 year illness.
He was born in Pittsburg, Pa., on June 17, 1958, to the late George A. Zavodnick and Patricia Zavodnick.
Steve attended six different schools from k-p before graduating with honors from Rocky River High School in 1976. He was awarded a scholarship from Sohio (now BP) and attended Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio graduating in 1980 with a degree in Engineering.
Steve joined American Electric Power in Ohio before moving to Baltimore, Md., and working for Baltimore Gas and Electric for 20 years before transferring to Constellation Energy. While there, he was very proud to be a delegation that traveled to China, Japan, Thailand, and Indonesia to study their electrical installations and was lucky enough to visit the Great Wall while there.
Steve is survived by his mother, Patricia Zavodnick; a brother, George L. Zavodnick; aunts and uncles, Naomi and Fred Leubuscher, of State College, Pa., Auralie and Bill Beckert, of Glenshaw, Pa., Claudia Zavodnick and Michael Zahoran, of Export, Pa.; former wife, Amy Riehl, of Salem, Ohio; and many cousins and friends.
Per Stevens request there will be no memorial service and burial will be private.
