Suzie was presented the Department of the Army Commander's Award for Public Service for her hard work and dedication toward improving the quality of life of the military families living overseas. Suzie enjoyed crocheting, word and number puzzles, playing cards, games, and caring for the various creatures brought into her home over the years. She always enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Suzie will be greatly missed by her beloved husband, Command Sergeant Major (retired) Robert P. Halpin Jr. of DeLand, Fla.; her sons, Robert B. and Aimee Halpin, and David M. and Sherry Halpin; her grandchildren, Codi, Caeli, Kelsi, Katey and Natalie Halpin. She will also be lovingly remembered by her sisters, Robin Ward of Eclipse, Va., and Sherry Turpin of Portsmouth, Va.; grandfather, Bud Hall of Eclipse, Va.; mother-in-law, Mickey Halpin of Williamsburg, Va.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia Flagler, West Volusia Care Center, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129.
