Tamie WALTER-JEFFERSON Obituary
Tamie was a lifelong resident of Williamsburg and was a 1985 graduate of Lafayette High School. She was employed by Aramark at the College of William and Mary.
Tamie was preceded in death by her father, the late Benjamin Walker Jr. of Williamsburg.
She leaves to cherish fond memories, a loving friend and husband, Michael A. Jefferson; one son, Airman Marcus L. Walker; daughter, Brenora Walker; grandson, Breyon Hill; four brothers, Gregory Walker (Patrina), Benjamin Walker Sr. (Lisa), Timothy Marsh (Patrice) Reno Marsh (Sharon), and Deno Marsh; four sisters, Kimberly Walker, Leslie Dupree, Antonia Barton (Xavier) and Shannon Mines; mother, Brenda Walker Mines, and stepfather, Pastor Steve Mines of Newport New, Va.; and mother-in-law, Lena Jefferson of Charles City, Va.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11, 2010, at Bethel Restoration Center, 6205 Richmond Road. Viewing will be from 9 to 11 a.m. only. The family will receive friends after the service at 3172 Chickahominy Road.

Tamie was such a nice person to me as a child. I will always remember her taking me places with her. Only a few years older than me, I thought of her as a grown up even then. I will miss her.
