Thelma BAGNER Obituary
She was the daughter of the Late Wiley P. Williams Sr. and Lucille S. Williams. She was a member of the Christian Home Baptist Church and was affiliated with the Music, Deaconess, Golden Age, Hospitality, and TIP (Taking It Public) ministries of the church. Thelma was a retiree of Smithfield Packing Company.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Leonard E. Williams.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 59 years, James R. Bagner Sr. of Suffolk; her loving daughter, Joyce B. Carney (Ben) of Suffolk; three sons, Marvin Williams of Suffolk, Morris Williams (Diedre) of California, and James R. Bagner Jr. of Suffolk; a sister, Delma W. Robinson (Larry) of Carrollton; a brother, Wiley P. Williams Jr. (Christine) of Sedley; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and six great great-grandchildren; a foster daughter, Paquita (Reginald) Ford of Smithfield; sisters-in-law, Dolly S. Williams and Martha Williams of Smithfield; one aunt, Annie B. Scott; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and CHBC family.
A celebration of life service will be conducted at noon Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, at the Christian Home Baptist Church, Windsor. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service. I would like send my condolences. Ms. Thelma was indeed a very nice lady. She was my Mom's sister-inlaw. She always treated us as family. We will miss her very much and her presence will always be with us. Rest in Thelma, for you will be in our hearts forever.
