Theodore JONES Obituary
Teddy attended George P. Phenix High School and was a member of George P. Phenix 50+ Alumni.
Teddy leaves one brother, Edward E. Jones (Lillie Mae); numerous of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A service to celebrate his life will begin at 11 a.m. today, Jan. 6, at Queen Street North Worship Center, 98 North Armistead Avenue, Hampton.
Interment at Hampton Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will assemble at the Worship Center by 10:30 a.m. for the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Dear Jones family,
I am writing to extend my deepest sympathies to the Jones’s family. I was so very sad to hear about Theodore A Jones, he was such a wonderful man.
I had the honor and the pleasure to know him as a man, a community leader and friend. I will always remember the conversations, dinners, and times we worked together.
Theodore had a calmness of mind, patient and self-control which is one of the beautiful jewels of wisdom. I am sure his remarkable sense of humor will be missed. I have the greatest respect for him and his family.
Please know that I'm praying for your family. I know that your family has the strength in them to move on.
Sometimes it’s hard to understand
Why certain things must be,
But there’s a reason for everything,
Beyond our power to see.
And we find comfort in our hearts
To know the ones we love will find,
Eternal happiness and lasting peace,
In our great heaven.
Your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Those of us who cared deeply about Teddy are sad about his passing. The memories of him are so pleasant. His generosity and kindness will never be forgotten. To his family, I say thank you for sharing him with us for a while. I celebrate no more pain and suffering for our friend. Many prayers, Mattie Evans and Trina Broadnax.
