GLOUCESTER, VA - Thomas Edward Stallman, 53, entered into the Lord's presence on August 1, 2013. Tom was born in Seattle, Washington, grew up in a Navy family and settled in Virginia. He was in active recovery from alcoholism for 19 years and mentored many in their personal journeys. Tom leaves behind a legacy of service to others and was a living example of the motto "to keep it, you have to give it away." Tom is survived by his wife, Holly Stallman, and sons, Graham Daly and wife Melissa Daly and Craig Daly and partner Catherine Prior. He is also survived by his loving parents, Thomas F. and Margery Stallman, sister Laura Washington and niece, Emma Washington. A memorial service to celebrate Tom's life will be held at Apostles Lutheran Church on 7092 Main Street, Gloucester, VA on Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at 11 a.m., followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, friends and family are asked to make contributions to the Abingdon Volunteer Fire & Rescue or Apostles Lutheran Church.
