Thomas TROUSKIE Obituary

DELTAVILLE - Thomas John Trouskie, 86, of Deltaville died Wednesday, June 2, 2010.
He was the son of the late Joseph John and Christinnia Ann Teeter Trouskie. He was a retired Value Engineer from the Raytheon Company and served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II. While living in Deltaville, Tom was a member of the Power Squadron, the Middlesex Volunteer Rescue Squad and the Middlesex Lions Club and attended Philippi Christian Church.
He was the widower of Ellie Trouskie and is survived by his wife, Kathleen B. West-Trouskie; children, Stephen Trouskie of Massachusetts, Kathy Thomas of Rhode Island; stepchildren, Richard Aikens of Massachusetts, Marilyn Hicks of Washington state; and six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Monday in Philippi Christian Church, Deltaville. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.

Tom and Ellie were our next door neighbors for a number of years at Jackson Creek Harbour, and we took daily walks in the mornings with Tom. He was a kind and caring man, and he will be greatly missed by his many friends. Our heartfelt sympathy is extended to his family.
