Thomas RUSSELL Obituary
He was born in Newport News, Va., the eldest son of Thomas Woodrow Russell (Tommy) and Marianne Taylor Russell.
Tom (Buddy) resided with his family for many years in Poquoson, Va. Tom was a resident of Gainesville, Ga., for 16 years and managed the local Acceptance Insurance office. He was a tennis fanatic and loved coaching his children's various sports teams.
Tom is survived by his wife, Anne; children, Kathryn, Grant and Virginia; his mother, Marianne; brother, Barry and wife, Monika; niece, Anna; his brother-in-law, David Harrell and his wife, Christi; nieces, Sydney and Lindsey; also a host of other wonderful relatives, friends and customers.
Memorial services will be held at noon Monday, Sept. 13, 2010, at Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10 a.m. until the service hour.

I was a classmate of Buddy's at PHS.
Please allow my husband and I to send our condolences and prayers to his family. Both of our families were members of Emmaus Baptist Church in Poquoson. We will be in prayer for all of you and may God's arms wrap around you.

I was so glad to have met Buddy. He came by our house the last time he was in Poquoson. He shared so much with Jim & I that night. I will always remember what a warm person he was. We will miss him. God bless you all through this time.
