Thomas Wesley Bryant Obituary
HAMPTON - Thomas Wesley Bryant, 65, died Wednesday, January 22, 2014. A native of Greenville, SC, he had been a Hampton resident since 1966 where he was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. He retired from the Army Corps of Engineers at Fort Eustis in 2004 after 33 years of service then went to work delivering flowers for Bert's Flower Shop. He was a member of Army Navy Lodge 306 AF&AM and the Lafayette Gun Club. Survivors include his wife, Connie Bryant; his daughter, Lori Vasquez and her husband, Gabe; his grandchildren, Landon and Maria Vasquez; his sisters, Jacquelyn Martin and Colleen Holland; nieces and nephews, Jamie Holland and his wife, Shannon, Mindi Harrell and her husband, Kevin, Kristen Holland, and Lee Johnson; and many other loving family members and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Kruger, Denise, and the rest of the VOA staff, as well as LaToya and Ora, and the Personal Touch Hospice staff. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Monday, January 27, 2014 in the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home chapel by Rev. Jason Snow. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.
