Viola Rasey Obituary
Mrs. Rasey was a retired school teacher. She received a teaching certificate from Western Michigan in Kalamazoo, Mich. She taught in Newport News at While Away Child Care and in Middlesex County at Wilton Elementary School, and where she operated a private school, Rasey's Kindergarten.
Her husband, Harold A. Rasey Jr., preceded her in death.
She is survived by three daughters, Roxie Rasey Nicoll and her husband, Jeff of Fairfax, Va., Trixie A. Rasey and her husband, Douglas Leto of Franklin Lakes, N.J., Tracey Rasey Scott and husband, Michael of Chesapeake; a son, Harold A. Rasey III of Ellington, Conn.; seven grandchildren, David, Beth, Seneca, Roni, Megan, Mary Kate, and MacKenna; two sisters, Violet Brown and Vivene Wilson; and two brothers, Virgil and Verlo Tillottson, all of Michigan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 3570 King William Avenue, West Point, VA. Burial will follow in St. Theresa Cemetery. A rosary will be held at 6 p.m. tonight, at Vincent Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 417 11th Street, West Point, VA, and the family will receive friends to 8:30 p.m.
