Walter Melvin Ogle went to be with his Lord and Saviour December 9, 2012 at the age of 62. A native of Dallas, North Carolina, he served his country in the U S Air Force, retiring in 1989. Following retirement he learned the trade of laying ceramic tile. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Melvin was very dedicated to his family. He is survived by, his wife, Jewel Ogle; children, Toby Kelly and husband Pat, Naomi Weaver, Samuel Ogle and wife Natalie, Esther Corbin and husband Vernon and Solomon Ogle. Grandchildren, Jordan Weaver, Edmond Ogle and Victoria Ogle; and sister, Ann McMullin. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and a large extended family. Funeral services officiated by Reverend Charles Curtis will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Open Bible Assembly Church, Dallas, NC. Interment with military honors will be in Long Creek Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Open Bible Assembly Church. In Melvin's memory contributions may be sent to the
