'WILL'- God bless you and your sons!

Thank you for what we shared. In all the memories of first things, you are remembered as exciting. I say if I may, "You belong to the city, with concrete under your feet, you are a man of the . . ." Thank you for helping me and teaching me. "The road was dark in Spanish Harlem (whew)."

My dear love, friend, & husband,

Please let not your heart be troubled. Your love for Bill was so precious and pure. I adore and admire the love that you guys shared for one another. Seeing your love and friendship made me love you even more. God made you the older brother who always watched over the younger ones. All of your brothers love you and look to you for guidance. However, Bill always knew that you would be there for him and I thank God that you were. Bill & I had a special bond that was so amazing and loving. We always talked and make each other laugh, in spite of what he was going through. He even supported me when at times we did not agree on issues. So, let your heart be encouraged today because you took care of Bill the way a big brother should up to the end of his journey here on earth. Now he is having a halleluiah good time with Jesus. There is no more crying, no more sickness, and no more pain, but joy, unspeakable joy forever more.

I love you and will be there for you always.

Your love, friend, & wife,
Angie

My sympathy goes out to the family surrounding Bill today.

His children: Dallas loved his dad more than his own life. Dallas and Paris will tell you that Bill was a special dad, a dad that will remain in their minds for the rest of eternity. I’m sure they wish he could have stayed forever, but God has requested their dad to return home. The memories of their dad will never be forgotten.

His soul mate: For Gloria there is, that special smile, that face of a special someone that can’t be replaced. There is pleasure in knowing that Bill lives on in her heart forever and ever.

His family: While the family’s hearts are filled with sadness and tears today, I remind you to keep in mind the memories that haven’t pasted away. The love and joy, the laughter and pain, mostly the struggles, and not to mention the gains. All of these moments are cherished in memory of the life that Bill lived.

For Bill: Bill has spread his wings, gone up to heaven, no longer to suffer on this earth anymore. Bill’s time here on earth was short. We all can wish that he would have stayed, but they need him upstairs in heaven, where the angles have called him their way. Bill will be remembered at every whisper of a breeze, every butterfly that passes, every flicker of a candle, every day that the sun shines high, and every night when the stars are so very bright. A life time of memories is there to stay, with each and every family member that has passed Bill’s way.

Love you and keeping each of you in my prayers,

Alfred&Blanche Roberts

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
