YORKTOWN - William A. Outland, III, 40, passed away on Sun., Feb. 3, 2013. He was a lifelong resident of the Peninsula. William was currently attending Thomas Nelson Community College. He loved cars, music, fishing, and he adored his children. William was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles E. Crane; grandparents, William A. Outland, Sr. and Mable Outland; and his uncle, Robert "Bobby" Outland. Survivors include his wife, Shawn M. Outland; daughters, Cheryl Marie Outland, Katherine Ann Outland; sons, Cody Alan Patry, William Albert Outland, IV; father, William A. Outland, II; mother, Shirley Persinger and her husband Freddie; sisters, Lindsey Outland Snyder, Alexandra Persinger; brothers, Michael Scott Quinn, William Shane Outland, and Charles Douglas Quinn. The family will receive friends on Sun., Feb. 10, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Mon., Feb. 11 at the funeral home, with burial to follow in Peninsula Memorial Park.
