GLOUCESTER - William Francis Loughran, Jr., 65, died October 3, 2013 at his home. Billy was a native of New York,retired from New York City Transit, worked as a counselor and lastly was a driver for Bay Transit. He enjoyed traveling, all kinds of cars and meeting people. He loved life, had a heart of gold and would give anyone a helping hand. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby; mother, Rosemary Loughran; and father, William F. Loughran, Sr. He is survived by his companion, Sandra B. Hudgins; brothers, Dennis Loughran, Kevin Loughran and Tommy Loughran; sisters, Patricia Loughran and Rosemary Myers. A Celebration of Life officiated by Pastor Bob Collins will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, October 13, 2013 at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1 p.m. Inurnment will be private. In Billy's memory contributions may be given to Riverside Walter Reed Hospice, P. O. Box 1130, Gloucester, VA 23061.
