William Burton Obituary

VIRGINIA BEACH - William Woodley Burton Jr., 56, died suddenly on Friday, Nov. 13, 2009, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
He was born March 17, 1953, in Baltimore, Md., to Mrs. Addie James Burton and the late William W. Burton Sr.
He was employed with Black and White Cars and HRT Medical Transport both of Norfolk.
He leaves to treasure his memories, his wife, Jean O. Burton of Virginia Beach; his mother, Mrs. Addie J. Burton of Newport News; one son, Darius Burton (Kynyata) and his mother Gloria Burton all of Virginia; one daughter, Ebony N. Thompson of Norfolk; one sister, Charlene Burton of Hampton; one brother, Nathaniel Burton (Angela) of Hampton; three granddaughters, Ariah, Aaliyah and Anvia Burton all of Virginia Beach; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov, 21, 2009, at Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions with Pastor Willie J. Pennington, officiating. Viewing one hour prior to the service Saturday at the Funeral Home.

a friendly,unselfish guy and a stellar athlete.I Will remember William for his unselfish play on the basketball team,a top rate defender and rebounder who played one entire season with a broken hand and never missed a game.
