Willie BLAND Obituary
Mrs. Willie Mae Bland was the first daughter born on Dec. 12, 1932, to Lit Leo and Sally V. Gazier of Newberry, S.C. In her childhood her family relocated to Newport News, Va., where she attended Carver High School and graduated in 1951. Willie Mae Bland had many hobbies such as cooking, shopping, collecting coins, and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Lit Leo and Sally V. Gazier.
Mrs. Willie Mae Bland leaves to cherish her memory her devoted children, Ronnie Gazier, Stewart Gazier, James Bland, Gloria Jean Liggins and Patrick Bland; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Jaime Bland, Jaama Bland, Desiree Bland and Mckayia Linbo. Also she leaves to cherish her memory her loving siblings, Mildred Wilson (Samuel), Margaret DeWalt, Betty Sims, Walter Gazier and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel, with Elder Michael B. Golden Jr., officiating. Interment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens.
