Willis BLIZZARD Obituary
He was born to Jesse and Cora Blizzard in Surry County, Va., and was a longtime resident of Newport News, Va. He was once a member of Wesley Grove United Church of Christ and served for several years on the Usher Board there. Mr. Blizzard, after serving in the Army, was employed by NASA in Hampton, Va., until his retirement.
Mr. Blizzard was preceded in death by his wife, Elnora Taylor Blizzard; his parents; and six siblings.
He leaves to mourn three sisters, Annie B. Brown and Marjorie Stephenson of Hampton, Va., and Eunice Elliott (William) of Dendron, Va.; one brother, Shirley Blizzard (Jeanette) of Chester, Pa.; a devoted nephew, Carl Hughes of Newport News, Va.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010, at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010, at Nickelson-Cummings Funeral Chapel.
