WILLIAMSBURG - Mary Ella Benning, beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister and Aunt, entered eternal rest on January 28, 2014, at the age of 94. A resident of Williamsburg since 2000, she was born and raised in Alexandria, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents Norman and Elnora Roy, her husband Aaron Benning, five sisters and six brothers. She is survived by her devoted daughter and son-in-law Barbara and Robert Graham; granddaughter Brooke Graham; great granddaughter Faithe, who brought her much joy, all of Williamsburg; one sister Phyllis Venable of Dumfries, VA; two sisters-in-law Hazel Roy of Alexandria, VA, Georgia Benning of Lawsville, NJ; and many beloved nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of Riverside Regional Hospital, - Emergency Room - Dr. Hickerson and Nurse Kathleen; - Annex 4 - Dr. Jo, P.A. Terry, Nurses Marlene, Melanie and Vianca for their kind and compassionate care. Services will be held at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 4002 Ironbound Road, Williamsburg on Monday, February 3, 2014 at 1 PM, The Reverend Ronald Ellis, Officiant. Viewing will be one hour prior to service. Interment at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, New Jersey.
