NEWPORT NEWS - Elsie Edenstrom, 81, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Friday, March 7, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born September 13, 1932 in North Dakota where she grew up on a farm. After marrying an Air Force man she lived in Kentucky, Georgia, Texas, and Germany but finally settled in Virginia. She is survived by four sisters; Elaine Wittman, Elvina Edenstrom, Kathi Kielb, and Sandra Briener and three brothers; Kenny, Bob, and Wayne Skoog.
