WILLIAMSBURG - Wyndham Evans "Wyndie" McPherson, 64, a native of Poquoson, passed away Monday, March 10, 2014. He was a 1968 graduate of Poquoson High School, and retired in 2010 from Newport News Shipbuilding Sheet Metal Dept. X32 after 43 years. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and had been attending Waters Edge Church, Williamsburg Campus. Wyndie was preceded in death by his father, Prior McPherson Jr. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy "Dot" McPherson; brother, Prior "Butch" McPherson III; fiancé, Ann H. "Annie" Pepper; one son; and one daughter. The family will receive friends Thursday, 11:00 AM-12:00 PM, at Trinity United Methodist Church, immediately followed by a Memorial service at the church by Rev. Charles R. Stacy and Pastor Lynn Howard. Other times the family will be at his mother's home in Poquoson.
