HAMPTON - Robert D. Fout, age 81, passed away at his home on Thursday, May 8, 2014. He was a native of Syracuse, NY and was a resident of Hampton. In August of 1994, Robert retired from Suttle Motor Corporation as a credit manager after a career lasting 30 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and obtained the rank of Sergeant. He was a member of Elks Lodge #366 and American Legion Post #25. He also was a member and past president of the Peninsula Association of Credit Executives (PACE). Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Charles M. and Margaret A. Fout, and brother, Charles M. Fout. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Blanche H. Fout; sons, Kenton F. Wiltrout and companion Mary of Norton, KS, and Steven W. Fout and wife Anne of Ocala, FL; daughter, Roberta F. Fordham and husband William of Hampton; grandchildren, Veronica L. Smoker and husband Kenneth of Poquoson, Daniel L. Fordham of Smithfield, Amanda M. Colwell and husband Steven of Yorktown, and George R. Fout of Ocala, FL; and great-grandchildren, Hailey and Hunter Smoker, Nichole and Anna Colwell, and Alyssa and Alanna Fordham. A service celebrating and remembering Robert's life will be held Saturday afternoon, May 17, 2014, at 2:00, at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home.
