Emma BRIGGS Obituary
She was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad Odell Briggs; two sisters, Ruby C. Pitts, Mary C. Hazelwood; and a brother, William A. Cecil.
Emma is survived by a daughter, Dee Davis and her husband, David; three sons, William O. Briggs and his wife, Mary, Buddy Briggs and his wife, Sherry, and Bradley Briggs; three sisters, Myrtle C. Sweeney, Bessie Hazelwood, Ola Mae Richardson; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted 11a.m. Friday, March 26, 2010, at The Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, VA 23140. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. Condolences can be registered at www.vincentfh.com. Mama I will think of you for the rest of my life. You and Daddy practically raised my son, Bill Jr. and he has turned out to be a fine young man. He still has the Briggs temper though. LOL Mama, you are one of the finest down to earth person I know and I'm going to miss all your little sayings. There are other things I'll miss too but I'll miss you most of all.
