HAMPTON - Ethel Young Williams, affectionately called 'Fuzzie,' was born on Aug.13, 1929, to the late Clarence and Adelaide Young; and passed away on Friday, Feb. 25, 2011.

Our loving mother loved the Lord and her church. She attended Phenix throughout her school years and graduated from the Nursing School, both at Hampton Institute. During her years at Hampton Institute, Fuzzie met and married the love of her life her husband, Nathaniel Williams and from this union of 38 years, five children were born, Melvin, Linda, Donna, Reginald and Keith.
She is survived by her sisters, Helen Manago, Gerald Johnson, Margaret Boggerty, Roberta Cartwright and Thelma Richardson. Her entire family will miss her dearly.
A viewing will be held from 1 to 6 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at noon Thursday, March 3, 2011, at Antioch Baptist Church, 1563 Old Buckroe Road, Hampton, VA. Interment to follow in Hampton National Veterans Cemetery (Hampton University), in Hampton, Va.
