WILLIAMSBURG - Patricia Warren O'Neill, 69, of Williamsburg, passed away on Oct. 24, 2011. She was a native of Colonial Beach, Va., and was preceded in death by her parents, Everett Wendell O'Neill and Virginia Taylor O'Neill.

Patti, a member of the Knitting Guild of Tidewater, enjoyed working at the Knitting Sisters in Williamsburg and teaching others to knit. She previously owned her own knitting shop in Newport News, Va., called "Textures." She was a docent at the Muscarelle Museum of Art and was active in the James River Garden Club.
Patti, a graduate of Longwood College Class of 1964, was a member of the Sigma Kappa sorority. An avid supporter of the arts and numerous charities, she also traveled extensively. The family wishes to thank Patti's many friends and loved ones for their support and caring throughout her life.
She is survived by her children, Stephanie Warren Woodruff and Katherine Hope Woodruff; a grandson, Aiden O'Neill McNamara; a brother, Michael Everett O'Neill, and his children, Erin O'Neill Jewell, Sean Michael Hall, Jennifer Maureen O'Neill, Kathleen O'Neill-Recame, Cameron Kraig Vogt, and Creighton Karl Vogt; a sister-in-law, Eleanor Breckenridge (James) and their children, Hope Kristen Breckenridge and James Woodruff Breckenridge; as well as a large extended family.
Funeral services will be private. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
