WILLIAMSBURG - Harry David Bowman, Jr. answered the Master?s call on Wednesday, December 19, 2012, in Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center. His life began on October 6, 1954, the son of the late Martha Ann and Harry D. Bowman, Sr., of Williamsburg, Virginia. In his youth, he accepted Christ into his life and became a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Harry was self-employed for many years as a General Contractor. He was a loving and kind person who will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He leaves to treasure his memories, his devoted wife, Deborah L. Bowman; his daughter, Shartara Byrd; his sons, Richard Patrick, Andrae Bowman, Mark Canady, Brian Canady and Shaq Bowman; his granddaughter. Shedraya Bowman; his grandsons, D`Andrae and Juwan Lipscomb; his mothers-in-law, Angerlina Whitted and Esther Webb; his brother-in-law, Daryl Patrick (Joan); and other loving relatives and many caring friends. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 24, 2012, in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronald A. Ellis officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at 3105 Ironbound Road by 10:00 a.m. on Monday. Mr. Bowman may be viewed in the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.
