On June 24, 2013,(SGT.1st.Class Retired). Tommie F. Bunting Sr, passed away peacefully at home and answered the call of glory. Mr. Bunting, was born in Clinton, NC on April 6, 1941 to the late Lovett Bunting-Tyler. Mr. Bunting, retired after twenty years as a SGT. first class in the United States Army,after 33 years he then retired from the U.S. Government. Mr. Bunting was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his loving wife of 50 years, Mazetta McNeill Bunting, 4 children, Pamela D. Bunting, Tommie F. Bunting Jr. (Melinda), Keith R. Bunting and Melissa M. Bunting; 2 sisters, Helen Brown and Deloris Morrisey; 1 brother Marion Davis; 6 grandchildren, Chereniece, James, Karver, Tynasia, Ximon and Zion; 6 sister in laws, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Bobby Bunting, Richard Davis and Floyd Davis and 2 sister in laws Shirley Fleming and Yvonne Milo. Services for Mr.Bunting, will be held Sunday, June 30, 2013 2:00p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church 1415 Big Bethel Road. by Rev. Dr. Christopher Carter Sr.,Interment with full Miltary Honors will be Monday,11:00a.m. July 1, 2013 at Albert G. Horton Jr .Veterans Memorial Cemetery Suffolk, VA. Viewing will be Today from Noon until 6:00p.m. at C.C.Carter Funeral Home 3314 Roanoke Avenue. Services of Love, Dignity and Respect are provided by the staff of C.C.Carter Funeral Home.
