Lorna C. Beaulieu Obituary
HAMPTON - Lorna C. Beaulieu, age 76 of Hampton passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at North Hampton Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center. She lived in Hampton for 45 years where she enthusiastically supported her children's sporting events; established and was President of VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #5500; and, enjoyed designing beautiful flower arrangements for all kinds of celebrations. She always participated, supported and helped with VFW activities, parades and visits to the Veterans at the Hampton Veteran Hospital. She loved her country, the flag and for what it stood for, and was proud to have served in the United States Air Force. She is preceded in death by her husband Omer (Frenchy); her parents Wilfred and Alice Carr; her great- grandson Matthew Chappell; a special companion, Bob Brewer; and, her soul mate, Larry Mattera. She is survived by her son Bruce Beaulieu (his wife Cathy); her daughter Pamela Schy (her husband Marty; six grandchildren - Nathan (his wife Emily), Emily (her husband Matt), Levi, Rocki, April (her husband Randy) and Casie; eight great grandchildren - Nolan Schy; Tori, Joey and Thomas Chappell; Kaitlyn Pierce, Kendra and Johnneicia Thorn; and her beloved friend and companion of 11 years, her Chihuahua, Sandy. Lorna was born in Newport, Vermont and in 2007 was reunited with her Uncle Ted Carter, Kathy and numerous other relatives where she and Larry celebrated with all. She loved her family and was blessed to be joined together again with each of them. A service will be held at Berceuse Funeral and Cremation on Friday, August 23, 2013 at 6:00 pm. A reception celebrating Lorna's life will be held following the service at the same location. Burial will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Lorna's memory to the Newport News SPCA and Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 6. The family would like to thank the staff at North Hampton, especially Sally and Carrie for their compassion and support which was over and beyond their physical therapy activities for Mom…she loved both of you very much.
