NEWPORT NEWS - Judith H. White, born February 10, 1942, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2013. Judith was a graduate of Warwick High School in 1960. She began her 37 year career with the Newport News court system in January 1961. In 1980, she was promoted to Clerk of Court Newport News Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court. She served 17 years until her retirement on June 30, 1997. She was an active member of Morrison United Methodist Church and Chestnut United Methodist Church. During her retirement, she served the Lord and others with her generosity and kindness. She was the greatest aunt and sister one could ask for. She was preceded in death by her husband, Retired Sgt. Ronald White, NNPD; her parents, James and Bertha Hubbard; and her brothers, Jimmy and Walter. She is survived by a sister, Carol Cheatham; nephew, Brad and wife Charlene Cheatham; nephew, Brian Cheatham; great-nephews, Michael and Jacob; great-nieces, Brittany, Lauren, Rachel and Brooke; several cousins; and her fiancé, Charles Moffitt. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 9:00 pm on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Judith's life will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, October 2 at the funeral home with Rev. Dede Parrish officiating. Interment will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park.
