We will always remember Al as a wonderful example of a true Good Samaritan. While in Jonesville on a mission trip, he and Gerrie offered a complete stranger in need the opportunity to stay in their home while undergoing treatment at UVA. Just one of many selfless examples of the way they lived like Jesus. I'm so sorry that we were out of the country and just found out about Al's passing.

Thinking of all of you since I got word this morning of Al's passing, and also the many memories from the 'Dryden Dr' days of long ago. With deepest sympathies, your friend,

Al's testimony of faith shared at the men's weekly breakfast at Spring Hill will continue to inspire me and I was priviledged to have known him.

Albert was a Godly man of character that cared deeply for his wife, children, grandchildren, his extended family and his many friends. He was a man of principle and conviction and stood tall when expressing his opinion and beliefs. Often times he was the voice of reason and direct. I served along side Albert as a Decon at Spring Hill Baptist Church and experienced this Godly man of character on a personal bases. I listened closely to what he said. I respected and loved him very much for all of these traits and so much more. I will miss him greatly as so many of us will. Albert's life was a shining example to us all.

Sincerely,

Dan and Pam McClish

Al was a wonderful and faithful Christian who will be missed. He gave of himself freely throughout his life and especially in his later years when I had the priviledge of both hearing his teaching and seeing his example of service through the church and in the community.
