Brenda Arlene Scott-White
On Sunday, April 25, 2010, Brenda Arlene Scott-White, beloved mother of Christopher Antoine White of Washington, D.C., peacefully passed away at her home.
She was born on September 25, 1959, in Charlottesville, the daughter of Arlene Scott of Charlottesville and the late Henry Scott Sr. She was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Scott-Johnson.
She leaves behind a devoted brother, Henry Scott Jr. and special friend, Fran Ferrari, of Charlottesville; a sister, Frances Simms and her husband, John, of Adelphi, Maryland; a brother-in-law, James G. Johnson of Cumberland, Virginia; two aunts, Josephine Mitchell and Marie Winston, both of Washington, D.C.; and a host of nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a devoted very special friend and caregiver, Mackarthur James of Bowie, Maryland.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, April 30, 2010, at First Church of Christ Holiness in Washington, D.C. Interment will follow at Fort Lincoln Cemetery in Brentwood, Maryland.

Brenda was an A number 1 individual who loved life and was a brief best friend. She commanded a room and was a blessing to know. I am sorry we grew apart. I'll keep prayers up for you Chris. God bless.

Dear Chris and family,
We just today heard that Brenda passed away and are so deeply sorry. We had no idea that she was unwell. We were all such good friends for so many years living next to each other in Maryland and then here in DC. Then we lost track of each other. Chris - I watched you grow up.
