Burrell Brock Obituary
Burrell Brock III, 59, of Orange, died Sunday, July 18, 2010, at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
Born August 29, 1950, in Charlottesville, he was the son of the late Burrell Brock Jr. and Dorothy Mae Brock.
He was a member of Blue Run Baptist Church.
Mr. Brock is survived by four sons, Shawn Collins of Louisa, Tori Dade and his wife, Anita, of Unionville, Chris Brock of Orange, and Erick Brock of Orange; two brothers, Fred Brock and his wife, Othelia, of Barboursville, and Robert Brock of Gordonsville; three sisters, Joyce Jackson and her husband, Robert, of Suitland, Maryland, Mary Richardson and her husband, James, of Orange, and Doris Snead and her husband, Clarence, of Madison, eight grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Gail Lindsay.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 24, 2010, at the Preddy Funeral Home Chapel, Gordonsville, with interment to follow at Blue Run Baptist Church Cemetery. The Reverend Peggy Brice will officiate.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

I thought I would put this entry in your book as I am sitting here looking at your picture with many memories of our younger days.Cuz, I know you were love by many, for you was so lively around everyone. You never wanted to see anyone sad. This is what I loved so much about you. As much as we will miss you, I know you are at rest now and is at better home. R.I.P. cuz. Your laughter will be missed, but you are with God now, so our loss is his gain.

My deepest sympathy is with the Brock Family as you all know you all was just like a family to me! I thought of Brock as a Father always! He was a great loving, caring, special person who will be missed by many many people! I'm still shocked but I'm happy I got to see and give him a kiss before he went above.
