Cheryl Ann Benn

Cheryl Ann Benn, 54, of Charlottesville, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2010, at her residence.

She was born February 5, 1956, to Mrs. Eloise P. Allison and the late William P. Benn in Arlington, Virginia.

She is survived by her children, Jonathan D. Welsh of Surrey, England, and Kristina L. Borjas, Esq. of San Francisco, California, and their spouses. Also surviving her are her cousins, Pamela Best, Denise Messerli, Jacquelyn Regland, and Malcolm LaFever; her aunts, Lois P. Martin and Chris LaFever; an uncle, Vernon F. Pierce; and her ex-husband, John Lee Borjas.

She loved family, friends, beaches, the sun and especially the holidays.

She sincerely loved working with people, both colleagues and clients, during her career at Doubletree Hotel, Damon's Restaurant, the Colonnades Nursing Home and most recently at the Red Carpet Inn.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday December 11, 2010, at Olivet Presbyterian Church, 2575 Garth Road, Charlottesville, VA 22901, 434-295-1367, with the Reverend Albert Connette officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Olivet Presbyterian Church.

I only saw this sad news today, Cheryl's birthday. I knew her from Junior High and kept up with her through her mother, Ellie. I'm so sad for the whole family and send my prayers to all.

to the family of cheryl, i am sorry for your lost, she was a wonderful person and well liked by everyone she meet. i really enjoyed working with her at the collandes. i remember her favorite saying was "are we having fun yet" she was just a delight, she will be greatly misssed. my thoughts and prayers are with you.
