Alice & Kenny,
You probably don't remember me but I remember your Mom well and also remember you.
Mrs. Thomas was one very special lady. As a child, I had the privilege of talking to her in the afternoons on the bus and in my adult life, seeing her at church once in a while.
To have gone through so much and maintained her faith is remarkable! I remember David and Judy too.
She and Mr. Thomas seemed just to "fit together". I loved that lady a lot although I didn't get to see her much. I did tell her that I loved her every time I saw her though. She was so sweet and loving.
My heart aches for you. Losing a parent is hard. May God bless the two of you and your families. She is watching from heaven with a big smile on her face.
Love,
Ilene Crickenberger Robinson

Alice and Kenny,
Our thoughts and Prayers are with you and your family on the loss of your Mother. We will miss her at Hillsboro. She was a pillar of faith for those starting their journey of faith and lived her faith each and every day.

What a beautiful obituary. Grammie will be missed terribly but we know she is now with the Lord and that is what will get us through missing her and also Grandad so much. Grammie was the wisest woman I have ever known. Although I have only been in the family for 17 yrs. I have learned more from her than everyone combined. Grammie, we love you and miss you very much. Love, Rene Shiflet (wife to grandson David Henry Shiflet III)

Kenny, Betty and Alice, I was sadden today to hear of the passing of your Mom. Both your Mother and Father were so very special to me. I worked with your Dad in the Lab at UVA for 11 years and always shared such wonderful holiday cards with both of your parents. I will keep the family in my prayers and will truly miss both of them..Love Nancy Farrell Johnson(Germantown,Maryland)
