Dorothy Schultzbank

Dorothy Elizabeth Schultzbank, 87, of Charlottesville, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at "The Laurels".

She was born on August 15, 1922, in Esmont, Virginia, the daughter of the late Mattie Kidd Newcombe and Mern Euell Newcombe. She was also predeceased by her husband of 38 years, Philip Schultzbank.

Elizabeth was a devoted mother and wife. She was also a member of the Eastern Star, Powhatan Chapter No. 146.

Survivors include her son, Dean Schultzbank and his wife, Elaine, of Franklin, Wisconsin; three sisters, Iris Kidd in Richmond, Virginia, Marion Horton in Gloucester, Virginia, and Irene Stargell in Schuyler, Virginia, and many other family members.

A memorial service was held 2 p.m. Sunday, May 2, 2010, at the Alberene Baptist Church in North Garden, Virginia, with the Reverend Robert Price officiating.

A graveside service was held at Wallace Memorial Cemetery in Crawley, West Virginia, 3 p.m. Monday, May 3, 2010.

Elizabeth had asked that, in lieu of flowers, the memorial contributions be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, 1170 River Road, Charlottesville, VA 22901.
