I was very sorry to hear of Elbert's passing, but I take comfort in knowing that he is in a far better place than we ever thought possible. My heart goes out to Shirley and the children. Keep in mind that he didn't leave us, but he is waiting for us to come home with him. Rest in glorious peace, Elbert.

Uncle Elbert-you touched so many lives-you will be greatly missed by many. What a blessing to meet you as a child, welcoming me into your home, you coming into my home spending time with my dad, grandaddy and family. So many great memories there. Now, as I'm an adult and God has took you home, my greatest reflections will be "his scripture quotes, his serving heart, his music, his laughs, his smiles, and his consistent stories (jokes)." These memories will keep us all close to him. Many years of pain, and now, no pain-what a glory this is! God, please comfort each family member and friends-wrap your loving arms around each- protect, guide, and have your way in this, in Jesus' holy name. Uncle Elbert, we love you and will miss you, until I see you again.
