John Jackson Obituary

John William Jackson Jr.

John William Jackson Jr., 88, of Louisa, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2010. He was the son of the late John W. and Corrie M. Jackson.

John was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Herndon, Virginia, he loved getting together with his son and friends to play cards.

John was predeceased by his wife, Helen E. Jackson; a daughter, Shirley Jackson Pugh; and two grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughters, Barbara Donohoe and her husband, Robert, of Fredericksburg, and Bonnie L. Stocker of New Jersey; his son, Dennis Jackson of North Carolina; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Leroy Jackson and his wife, Jane, of Chantilly, Virginia; a sister, Rebecca Williams of White Stone, Virginia; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved pet, "Ginger Jackson".

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, October 4, 2010, at Woodward Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Linda E. F. Crabbs officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 p.m. Sunday, October 3, 2010, at Woodward Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to SNAP (Spay & Neuter All Pets) P.O. Box 1277, Louisa, Virginia 23093.
