Junius Edward Dyer

Junius Edward Dyer of Charlottesville, Virginia, departed this life on Sunday, October 24, 2010, at the Golden Living Cedars Nursing Home.

Junius was born on May 29, 1930, in Albemarle County, the son of the late Phillip and Irene Scott Dyer. He was also preceded in death by four siblings, George, John Roy, Mosses and Leonard Dyer.

Junius worked for R.E. Lee and Sons and J. F. Bishop Construction Company, until retirement.

He leaves to cherish his memory, one son, Charlie Bell and his wife, Samantha, of Charlottesville, Virginia; four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Lucy D. Walker and Mrs. Margaret Bryant, both of Charlottesville, Virginia; one brother, William Bill Dyer of Charlottesville, Virginia; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Dora Dyer and Mrs. Janie Dyer, both of Charlottesville, Virginia; nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends Douglas Henderson, Catherine Miles, Betty Scott, Cecil Nicholas and Arby Morris.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, October 28, 2010, at Chestnut Grove Baptist Church with the Reverend Jeffrey Perkinson officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.

The family wishes to thank the nursing staff, Dr. Neal and Dr. Evearf of the Golden Living Cedars Nursing Home.
