Katherine Johnson Obituary
Katherine "Kathy" S. Toney Johnson, 55, of Charlottesville, passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2010, at the Martha Jefferson Hospital.
She was born on January 19, 1955, in Charlottesville.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Viola Taylor Dennis; her stepfather, James Dennis; and her father, William Toney.
She is survived by her husband, Lee Johnson and one son, Jess C. Toney, both of Charlottesville; one sister, Laura Jean Moss and her husband, Jerry, of Charlottesville; four brothers, William "Bill" Toney and his wife, Brenda, of Waynesboro, Donald Toney and his wife, Brenda, of Earlysville, Dennis "Wayne" Toney of Charlottesville, and James "Jimmy" Dennis and his wife, Angelena, of Charlottesville; one granddaughter, Kristen Nicole Toney; numerous nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Tina Frazier, and her daughter, Katlyn.
A graveside funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2010, at Riverview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 28, 2010, at the Teague Funeral Home.
The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of the Piedmont for all their help and support during this difficult time.
