Lakshmi Avril DJD Phelan-Hazur
Lakshmi Avril DJD Phelan-Hazur passed away peacefully on Friday, November 13, 2009, after a long and courageous fight against chronic illness.
She was born on April 1, 1943, in Cuckfield, England, and is survived by her two children, three grandchildren and family in Ireland and England.
Family and friends will celebrate her life's legacy and passage into the light at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 21, 2009, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 401 Alderman Road. A reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers, gifts to the University of Virginia Cardiopulmonary Transplant Support Group would be appreciated. Please make gifts payable to University of Virginia Health System, Attn: Cardiopulmonary Transplant, Box 800191, Charlottesville, VA 22908.

Avril was a great healer and always brought out the best in us. I will always remember her seeking the clarity and lightness in us all. We will miss her but find happiness that she is with the angels.
