Lloyd Herring Sr.
Lloyd Herring Sr., 76, of Charlottesville, died on Saturday, June 19, 2010, at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
He was born on April 17, 1934, in Albemarle County, the son of the late Willie and Sarah Morris Herring. He was also preceded in death by a son, Lloyd Herring Jr.; two daughters, Dianne Herring and Brenda Herring; and a brother, Earl Herring.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Herring of Charlottesville; two sons, Ronnie Herring and his wife, Genie, of Charlottesville and Donnie Herring and his wife, Tara, of Ruckersville; a daughter, Janice Burton and her husband, Roy, of Charlottesville; a daughter-in-law, Lynn Herring; eight grandchildren; 10 great- grandchildren; and a brother, Lonnie Herring and his wife, Shirley, of Stanardsville.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m. Monday, June 21, 2010, at the Hill and Wood Funeral Home.
A graveside funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday June 22, 2010, at Holly Memorial Gardens with Mr. Jeff Villio officiating.
