I did have the pleasure of knowing and spending many hours with Margaret. She served her Lord well in many areas! She could make anything with a few yards of cloth and a sewing machine! She loved her family and friends unconditionally. She taught me how to play bridge and we spent much time on the golf course! I have such good memories of someone that often reminded me of my own grandmother, so I guess that is why I loved her dearly. She will be missed. Our loss is Heaven's gain. Jerry and I extend our deepest sympathy to her children and grandchildren. Know that you will be in our prayers in the coming weeks.

Dear family of Margaret Porterfield,
Though we did not have the pleasure of knowing this lady while she served your families for 96 years (what an accomplishment!), God must have used her fully while here on earth. And now He has a need for Margaret and her lovely daughter, Pat, to continue their works in Heaven. Please take comfort in knowing they are together, still looking over you all. Continue to hold Bob (high school classmate) in your hearts and may you all feel the blessings of having had Pat and Margaret in your lives.
