Mary Sites Obituary
Mary Carole Sites, 72, of Charlottesville, departed this earth on Thursday, April 22, 2010, to be with her Heavenly Father and Savior.
She was born on August 29, 1937, in Nelson County, the daughter of the late Cecil Alexandria Craig and Mary Elizabeth Caul.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Carol Sites; brothers, Hunter Craig and Junior Craig; sisters, Margaret Craig, Estelle Stokes, Doris Marone, Rubie Bryant, and Ann Craig.
Carole was employed by Centel for 30 years.
Survivors include her children, Don Albert Sites and his wife, Ginny, of Ruckersville, Donna Leah Sites Hawkins of Buckingham, Cheryl Summers and her husband, Chris, of Lake Monticello, and Brenda Segoviano and her husband, Renato, of Waynesboro; 11 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren; and a brother, James Edward Craig of Lovingston.
Private family interment will be held at Riverview Cemetery.

Donna, Mama Carole was like a mom to all who hung out at the pool, those were the days. She watched over us and treated us all like her children. I have very fond memories and any time I would see her out she would always give me a great big hug. She will be greatly missed, such a sweet dear lady. Donna if you need anything I will be there.

I do and will miss seeing Carole almost daily as her neighbor at GT Square for years. Seeing her nightlight out just makes me sad. Her feisty-ness and love of children will be missed but she will not be forgotten.

To Carole's famil;, I am saddened to hear of Carol's passing, but am so glad that she became a friend to me this past year. I will hold those memories dear to my heart and know that she will always be there. Blitz will miss her very much and will always be grateful for the week Carol babysat her.
