Maynard Franklin Hensley

Maynard Franklin Hensley, 68, of Gordonsville, died Thursday, December 3, 2009, at his residence.

He was born May 17, 1941, in Barboursville, a son of the late Whitelow Eugene Hensley and Mary Elizabeth Haney Hensley. He was the husband of the late Lucille Watson Hensley.

Mr. Hensley is survived by one son, Jefferey F. Hensley and his wife, Darla, of Orange; one daughter, Susan McCullough of Charlottesville; one brother, Garvin "Tim" Hensley and his wife, Linda, of Orange; three sisters, Doris H. Peyton of Gordonsville, Darlene Carpenter and her husband, Eddie, of Reva, Shirley Jurlando and her husband, Sam, of Gordonsville; four grandchildren, Jessica Hensley, Rachel Hensley, Dustin S. McCullough, and Anthony S. McCullough; one great-grandchild, Madison E. McCullough; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Wilbur Eugene Hensley; two sisters, Thelma Lamb and Margie Hamilton.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, December 5, 2009, at the Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Gordonsville with interment to follow at Maplewood Cemetery. Pastor Johnny Hartless will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, December 4, 2009, at the funeral home.
