Michael Bodell Obituary
Michael "Mick" Carter Bodell, 58, of Scottsville, died on Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at home.
He was born on September 10, 1951, in Rockingham County, Virginia, the son of Jean Carter Bodell of Shenandoah, Virginia, and the late Charles Bodell.
Mick was a retired Aircraft Mechanic from the United States Navy.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Sandra Hargrave Bodell of Scottsville; a daughter, Shae Bodell Kuzdzal and her husband, Daniel, of Scottsville; three grandchildren, Brent Michael Kuzdzal, Veronica Kay Kuzdzal, and Tucker Daniel Kuzdzal; two sisters, Dale Waters and her husband, Craig, of McGaheysville, Virginia, and Karen Pence, Shenandoah, Virginia; his mother-in-law, Pauline Hargrave of Hampton; and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 2010, at the Hill and Wood Funeral Home with the Reverend Patricia Covington officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, June 11, 2010, at the funeral home.
A graveside service with military honors will be held 12 p.m. Monday, June 14, 2010, in the St. Luke's Memorial Park in Smithfield, Virginia.
