Myrtle Shifflett Obituary
Myrtle J. Shifflett, 69, of Batesville, died on Saturday, November 13, 2010, at a local hospital.
She was born in Albemarle County on July 9, 1941, the daughter of the late William "Bill" Bragg and Mable Goolsby Bragg. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Shifflett; and a sister, Nancy Baber.
She is survived by her seven children, Theresa Shafer, Rita Diane Bragg, Lee Shifflett, Roland Shifflett, Jessie Clatterbuck, Patrick Shifflett, John Shifflett; a sister, Shirley Kindrick; two brothers, Billy Bragg and Joe Bragg; 16 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
A memorial gathering will be held from 6 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2010, at the Teague Funeral Home.
