Robert Goff Obituary
Robert Michael "Mike" Goff, 56, of Faber, died Saturday morning, December 12, 2009, at his residence, after a brief illness.
He was born on February 3, 1953, in Charlottesville, a son of the late Robert Melvin Goff and Ruth Ponton Goff.
Mike was a lifetime resident of Faber and a rural mail carrier for the United State Postal Service.
He is survived by a daughter, Crystal R. Taylor of Arrington; two sons, Marshall R. Goff of Faber and Brian M. Goff of Scottsville; two brothers, George Gregory Goff of Amherst and Jeffrey Franklin Goff of Faber; a sister, Kimberly G. Hoffman of Amherst; and four grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday December 15, 2009, at the funeral home with the Reverend B. D. Hyman officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
It is suggested that those wishing to make memorial contributions consider the Nelson County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 44, Faber, Virginia 22939.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to the Goff family. We enjoyed having Mike as a guest and friend on a Carolla N.C. trip several years ago.He was a good friend of my son in law also., Dee and Kay Staton.Such a loss,at a young age. Our prayers are with you.
