To Walter's Family - I wanted to let you know what a privilege it was to get to know Walter over the last few years. As a resident physician, I helped take care of him several times when he came into the hospital; after I graduated, I helped look after him at the Cedars. I don't think I'll ever be able to go back there again without seeing him sitting in the sunshine with his baseball cap and his headphones on. He was very special to me, and I'll miss him very much. A mass is being said for him this week in my hometown of Ithaca, New York. May time heal your sadness.
