Acker, Beverly A. - Denville  
Beverly A. Acker AGE: 76 • Nursing is a work of Heart…. Beverly A. Acker passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, May 18th, surrounded by her loving family. She was 76 years young and has left a lifetime of beautiful memories and a lasting legacy of care, love, beauty and grace for all who knew her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 10:30 am at her parish, St. Mary's Church, Denville. Friends and relatives may visit on Sunday, May 22nd from 2-6 pm at the Norman Dean Home For Services, 16 Righter Avenue, Denville. Please share your memories at www.normandean.com Born in Hackensack to the late Anthony and Alice Laudato, Bev was the oldest of four children. After HS, she pursued her dream of becoming a nurse and attended St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1960. In August of 1961, she married her sweetheart Olin "Butch" Acker and the couple settled in Morris Plains and later Denville to raise a family of their own. Bev worked as a psychiatric nurse at Greystone Hospital for many years, followed by Morris View nursing home, Morris Plains School District as a school nurse and eventually retiring from Internal Medicine of Morris Town in 2012. She loved being a Nurse. It was a calling, a passion, a way of life. She cared deeply for every patient she had the pleasure to meet in this world. Even above this love; was her family. She was an amazing wife, Mom, Grandma, Sister and Aunt to so many. She was so proud of her family and loved being a Mom. Beverly donated her time with the Ladies Auxiliary Morris Plains FD, with the Morris Plains Board of Health, served as a volunteer at the Zufall Clinic in Dover, a Eucharistic Minister at St. Mary's and with the N.J.E.A. She will be missed dearly, but we are certain that her kindness, selflessness and love will live on through all of us. She leaves only happy memories to her loving husband Butch of 55 years; adoring daughters Lori Acker (Wendy Walker) and Amy Acker; granddaughter Amy Guillerman; very dear friend Maryanne DiMarzo; brothers George (Janna), Anthony (Grace) and Paul Laudato (Linda); grand pups Aria and Dolce, favorite feline Boo and many more loving relatives, friends and acquaintances. "What we have done for others and the world, remains and is immortal."

Bolio, Michael L. - 84, Chester  
Michael L. Bolio AGE: 84 • Chester Michael "Mike" L. Bolio, 84, of Chester, NJ passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at home. Mike was born on May 14, 1932 in Newark, NJ. He was a 50 year resident of Chester and previously lived in Peapack, NJ. Mike was a retired railroad conductor for NJ Transit and his whole life was revolved around the railroad and sharing his railroad stories. He was an avid NY Yankees fan. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, but his favorite person in the world was his wife, Ella. Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Ella F. (nee Wyckoff) Bolio; his children Pat Bolio, Angela Vianest and Michael, Carol Peterson and Michael, Deborah Gonroski and John, Michael Bolio, Jr and Patti, Angelo Bolio and Mary, Kathy Cambell and Richard, Fred Bolio and Lynn, Joe Bolio and Carolynn, and Steven Bolio and Colleen; 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A Celebration of Mike's Life will include a memorial gathering on Monday, May 23 from 5 to 8pm at the William J. Leber Funeral Home, 15 Furnace Road (Corner of Rt. 206), Chester, NJ (908) 879-3090. Bonitz, Elizabeth J. - 78, Chester  
Elizabeth J. Bonitz AGE: 78 • Chester Elizabeth J. Bonitz passed away peacefully on May 25, 2016. She was 78. Born in Chester, she was a lifelong Chester resident. Elizabeth was an Administrative Assistant in the Chester School System for several years in the 1970's. Her sons will remember her as the neighborhood lifeguard at the family pool and a loving wife and mother who demanded the best from her children. She was predeceased by her husband Clarence Bonitz in 2012, her sister Ginny Breitweiser in 2003 and her brother Warren DeHart. She is survived by two sons Timothy D. Bonitz ( Grace) of Reading PA and Thomas M. Bonitz (Susan Lanz) of Montville. She is also survived by her two grand-daughters Tara and Talia. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10am until 12 noon at the Bailey Funeral Home, 8 Hilltop Rd., Mendham. Funeral Service Saturday 12 noon in the funeral home. Margaret E. (nee-Hawkins) Boyton AGE: 82 • Dover Margaret E. (nee-Hawkins) Boyton, Age 82, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born and raised in Fairview and lived in Parsippany for 16 years before moving to Dover 36 years ago. Margaret was a homemaker. She was an avid supporter of various animal organizations and she enjoyed trips to the casino and loved crossword puzzles. Margaret was predeceased by her high school sweetheart, Ernest 'Ernie' J. on 9/8/2010; her three sisters; and her granddaughter. She is survived by her beloved children: Gary S. of Boulder, CO, Glen M. and his wife, Susan of Boonton, and Joanie E. Quail and her husband, Bernie of Rockaway; her six adored grandchildren; her five treasured great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her cat, Peggy. Ralph T. Casciano AGE: 55 • Ralph T. Casciano, passed away on May 3, 2016 at Overlook Hospital, Summit. He was 55. Predeceased by his mother Sophie; he is survived by his fiancee Leah Verain; his father Ralph A. Casciano;children Shauna and Corey; sister Michele Casco and her husband Gus Casco; brother Thomas Casciano and wife Hope Casciano; His niece Alex, and Nephew Thomas and many more relatives and friends.

Janice W. Cerra AGE: 85 • Long Valley, NJ Janice W. Cerra, 85, of Long Valley, NJ passed away on Monday, May 23, 2016 at Hackettstown Medical Center. Janice was born on February 24, 1931 on Staten Island, NY. She has lived in Long Valley since 2005 and previously lived in North Stonington, Putnam, Connecticut and NYC. Janice received her Bachelors, Master of Arts, and was a Doctoral Candidate with honors in History from NYU. Over the years she was a Middle School Teacher, a Case Supervisor for NYC Department of Human Resources, and a Delegate and Officer for District Council 37. Janice was active in the Long Valley community including the New Comers Club, Stitch and Chat Club, and a parishioner at St. Luke Parish. She was a proud member and the Chapter Regent of Old White House-General Frelinghuysen-Colonel Lowrey Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a lover of music, theater, and reading. Janice also was an avid traveler, most recently to Egypt, Germany, Italy and France. Janice is survived by her children Elizabeth Barnhard and Wayne Teagarden; her grandchildren Jonathan and Jessica Katz and Stephanie Janice and William Teagarden. She was widowed by Joseph Cerra and James Teagarden and formerly married to Philip Barnhard. A Celebration of Janice's Life will include a visitation on Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the William J. Cohen, Gerald - 76, Franklin Township  
Gerald Cohen AGE: 76 • Franklin Township Gerald "Jerry" Cohen was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 15th, 1940. He passed away on April 11th, 2016 in Franklin Township, Somerset NJ. He earned both an Associate, Bachelor's as well as Master's degrees finishing the latter in his early 50's. His first careers were in the food and beverage industry. Later, in his second career he was a teacher, school counselor as well as career and educational planning counselor in private practice. His achievements included co-authoring the book "Food Service Sanitation Handbook" which has been used at the Culinary Institute of America (1982, Hayden Book Company). He is survived by a brother Stanley of Oceanside NY; his daughter, Laura, her husband Neal, and their children Emma and Samantha of Monroe Twp NJ; his son David, his wife Sara, of NY NY; his son Ephraim and his daughter Sophie of Mt. Laurel NJ; as well as his niece Shari, her husband Kalle, and their children Sawyer and Sixten; and nephew Ryan. Additionally he is survived by his partner Irene; her daughters Amy and Jill and son-in-law Mike; and granddaughter Rebecca.

David Conklin AGE: 87 • Stanhope David Conklin, 87, of Stanhope, NJ passed away on May 24, 2016 in Morristown, NJ. David was born September 6, 1928 in Bloomfield, NJ and has lived in Stanhope since 1960. He worked as a Chauffer for AT&T/Lucent for many years before retiring in 1990. He was a parishioner and Eucharistic Minister at St. Michael's Church in Netcong, NJ. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years Kathleen (nee McKeown) Conklin; his nine devoted children, David and his wife Debra, John and his wife Audrey, James, Paul and his wife Donna, Joseph and his wife Laurie, Nicholas and his wife Margie, Kathleen Parker and her husband Albert, Mary O'Brien and her husband Kevin, and Regina Norris and her husband Brian; 26 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, and other loving family members and friends. He was predeceased by his son Peter; grandson Justin; brother James, and sister Marion. A Celebration of David's Life will include a visitation on Friday May 27 from 9AM-11:30AM at the William J. Walter Rockefeller Conklin AGE: 86 • Chester, NJ Walter Rockefeller Conklin, 86, of Chester, NJ passed away May 20, 2016 at home surrounded by his family. Walter was born on November 2, 1929 in Chester and has lived his entire life there. He joined the Chester Volunteer Fire Company in 1952, and worked for the Morris County Road Department for many years. Walt had a love for the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and camping. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed gardening. Walter is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years Catherine "Kay" Conklin; his devoted children, Dean Conklin, and Joan Quarno; five loving grandchildren, Marissa, John, Michael, Dean, and Kevin; and his two cherished great-grandchildren, Ryan and Tyler. A Celebration of Walter's Life will include a visitation on Tuesday May 24 from 5pm to 8pm at the William J. Leber Funeral Home, 15 Furnace Road (Corner of Rt. 206), Chester, NJ (908) 879-3090.
