C. Armond Johnson

C. Armond 'Swede' Johnson of Madison, New Jersey, died on June 21, while at his summer home in East Sandwich, MA. He was 92. Swede was born to Verle DeArmond Johnson and Dale Johnson on April 28, 1921, in Hamilton, OH. The family moved to Maplewood, NJ and Swede was a member of the Columbia High School class of 1939. After graduating from Lehigh University in 1943, where he was a member of Chi Psi, Swede enlisted in the Marine Corps and attained the rank of Second Lieutenant while stationed at Parris Island, SC. During his career, he was an executive with Champion International Paper and Paper Sales Corporation in New York. Swede was an avid golfer and card player at Morris County Golf Club where he was a member for 53 years.

Swede is survived by his four children, Lexa, Evan, Craig and Randy, their spouses, nine grandchildren, his long time companion, Nancy Brigham of Chatham, New Jersey, and 92 years of wonderful memories.

He will be interred at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hamilton, OH.
